Marcel Floruss — Jersey City, NJ
A coming-of-age story told through fashion, movement, and a growing understanding that the real work happens inside.
The journey
It started with clothes. I was 15, somewhere in Germany, and I discovered that what I wore changed how people saw me — and slowly, how I saw myself. That first hit of confidence was external. But it opened a door.
Fashion led to New York. New York led to a platform. The platform led to a body I was proud of, a running practice that humbled me, and eventually — after years of therapy, coaching, and honest reflection — a clearer sense of what actually drives a good life.
The outside-in approach got me started. Inside-out is what sustains it.
Milestones
Age 14–15
The first experiment
Fashion became self-expression before I had words for it. I started noticing that clothes changed how people treated me — and how I carried myself. The internal work was already beginning, quietly, guided by a mother who always asked: what do you actually feel?
Post high school — age 17
Two years of dance
Ballroom first, then everything — hip hop, popping & locking, house, modern, contemporary, jazz, ballet, tap. Movement as a second language. I graduated at 17 and spent those years figuring out what the body could say that words couldn't.

One Dapper Street launches
Studying fashion merchandising management at FIT in New York, I started a blog to share what I knew about style — specifically for guys who had the inclination but not the confidence to explore it. What I didn't know then: I was building something that would outlast every trend it covered.
2020 onward
The body as proof
Marathons. HYROX. A daily movement practice that started as discipline and became devotion. Running showed me what the style world taught first: that confidence built through doing compounds over time — and that showing up, even when it's hard, is the whole practice.

Jay Shetty Coaching School. Brandon Epstein Rewire Method. Twenty-plus years of emotional self-awareness, therapy, and the kind of inner work most people skip. Energy Perspective became the container for all of it — a coaching practice built around one belief: every belief you hold either opens or closes a door.
Style
Where it began. Menswear, self-expression, and the belief that how you dress shapes how you show up. Since 2013.
→Fitness
Marathons, HYROX, and a movement philosophy built around endorphins, progress, and showing up for yourself physically.
→Coaching
Life coaching for people who've been chasing the right goals for the wrong reasons — and are ready for something more sustainable.
→Every belief you hold either opens or closes a door. You probably have a few beliefs in place that are keeping you from where you actually want to go.

Style — Since March 7, 2013
The origin
I was a teenager in Germany when I figured out that the clothes I wore could change a room. Not because fashion is superficial — but because self-expression, even through something as simple as a jacket, tells the world something about who you are before you've said a word.
One Dapper Street launched on March 7, 2013, while I was studying fashion merchandising management at FIT in New York. The original idea: help guys who had the taste but not the vocabulary to act on it. Give them the tools to feel good getting dressed.
More than a decade later, it's become something bigger — a record of how style intersects with identity, confidence, and the ongoing project of becoming yourself.
Editorial
Recognition
Over a decade of consistent work in the men's style space has earned One Dapper Street a place in the conversation that matters.
Brand
A shoe brand born from the same belief that drives One Dapper Street: that what you put on your body should be intentional, well-made, and unmistakably yours.
Philosophy
The way you dress is a conversation you have with yourself before anyone else sees it. When I work with people on style, I'm really working on confidence, clarity, and the courage to take up space.
Fitness — Movement & Training
The concept
Endorfit was built on a simple premise: working out should feel good while you're doing it, not just after. The name says it all — endorphin release as the goal, not just the byproduct.
From marathon finish lines to HYROX floors, from daily runs to ballet barre — movement is how I process the world. It's where I prove things to myself.
Running
Marathons are the best metaphor I know. Something impossibly daunting, broken into small, manageable goals. You show up. You keep moving. You cross the line and know — in your body — that you can do hard things.
I'm a Strava ambassador. If you're starting your running journey or want to push further, come run with me.
Training
HYROX
Functional fitness racing at its most honest — strength, endurance, and the ability to keep going when you want to stop.
Cycling & Cross-training
Recovery, endurance, and a sense of freedom that only moving through the world on two wheels provides.

The work
My whole story — the style, the fitness, the external wins — started from the outside. I found confidence through how others responded to me. And for a long time, that worked. But external validation is a rental. It doesn't compound.
Energy Perspective is built around the belief I've arrived at after twenty-plus years of emotional self-work, therapy, coaching, and honest examination: the relationship you have with yourself is the foundation everything else is built on.
When that foundation is solid, the goals you set are actually yours. The relationships you build are actually real. The version of success you're chasing is actually worth chasing.
"Every belief you hold either opens or closes a door. You probably have a few beliefs in place that are keeping you from where you actually want to go."
The mental blocks in your way aren't placed there by circumstances, other people, or the world. They're placed there by you — by beliefs you formed at a time when they made sense, and never questioned since. That's where the work begins.
Who this is for
Maybe you've reached the milestones — the career, the relationship, the number in the bank — and still feel like something's off. Or maybe you're driven, ambitious, and working incredibly hard toward goals that someone else set for you, or a past version of you set when you didn't know better.
The focus is men — specifically men who've been taught that emotional awareness is optional. Who've built identities around performance and achievement and are starting to feel the cost of that.
But it's broader than that. It's anyone who's ambitious, self-aware enough to know something needs to change, and ready to do the actual work.
